Over the last few months, so many businesses have pivoted, adapted in order to be able to serve their customers. Behind every artisan products you buy, you support an independent seller. As we are a small business ourselves, we believe that adapting is key.
For some businesses and entrepreneurs, this means taking their current products and making them available in a different format.
Most times, you do not have to reinvent the wheel. All you need is already at your disposal.
Being able to quickly adapt your products to solve the current problems your clients are facing right now could be what makes or breaks your strategy going forward.
70% of the time, you can adapt a product you already have, yet, in 30% of the cases, companies have had to completely think outside the box and create brand new products to meet the needs of their potential customers.
This is the time to head back to your ideal client persona and really zero in about what their current habits and behaviours are.
We are currently loving Etsy’s StandWithSmall campaign to support its independent sellers.
The idea of the campaign is to support your favourite sellers, their one-of-a-kind items made with love, their friendly service, and their creative expression. We can help them to keep making. Right now the smallest businesses are taking a serious hit. But they’re not backing down.
Below are some of our favourite picks.
Give your home a spring clean
Now is the time to really make sure you give your home the TLC it needs. From spring cleaning your wardrobe to sorting your Kilner jar cupboard, there are so many things you can do to give your home the spark it needs.
One of the things I often say is, when in doubt, buy a new candle, like these gorgeous soy sandalwood ones. I found that turning my living room into a spa waiting room has brought a new sense of calm to my days, especially when practicing some yoga in front of the big screen.
Turn into a plant lady
If you are looking to reconnect with nature, yet you cannot get out in nature, giving your plants a makeover can be therapeutic and also a great way to add oxygen to your space. We all know that friend who just can’t keep their plants alive. I think I might be that friend too. If you are just like me, you’ll always forget about which plant needs watering next – this super cute plant marker may be for you.
If you are looking for new vases and pots, there is a gorgeous selection of hanging planters and vases, including some cute arrangements for flowers. You can also bring some joy to your living room with adorable rainbow pots.
Anything that can really give plants the love they deserve for keeping our home bright and reclaim some of that connection with mama Nature is welcome in my eyes.
How to revamp your home desk
I talked before about how you can find amazing products from independent sellers to revamp your very own home office. Now more than ever, people are looking to create a sacred workspace that allows them to be focused, inspired and driven.
Whether you are a sucker for stickers like myself (just look at how adorable those bad boys look) or you are looking to buy a new planner to organise your week, there are so many things you can do to bring some Zen to your desk space.
You can even Kondo-Mari the whole desk and add new storage features like the gorgeous wooden organiser stand you see above.
Take up a new hobby
Looking to take up a new hobby? Why not challenging yourself and try embroidery by following a simple embroidery kit – even if, I won’t lie, that may be a bit too advanced for me.
For all the creatives looking to up their photography game, I cannot recommend enough our friends at ClubBackdrops. Their vinyl backdrops are perfect to practice your photography skills.
If you are like me, you may find a calligraphy kit something more manageable, or even a kit to help you get started with macrame (yup, that’s a thing). This ‘Fruit Fitch’ DIY kit includes everything you need to make your own macrame hanger and will hold a bowl perfect for storing your fruit.
The boho feel of this homeware accessory will bring a stylish atmosphere into your home, doubling up as a great piece of new home design. Fancy.
